As you might have seen in our newsletter, big changes are coming to Land in Ember Sword. We wanted to expand a bit on the topic for those of you that are curious, so this blog post will serve as further clarification. Let’s dig right in!
The Nitty Gritty on Land
The total Land supply will be 160,000 plots, divided into 6400 estates and 400 regions, which will be split into four Nations (formerly Regions) – Duskeron, Edisau, Sevrend and Solarwood.
Land in Ember Sword is made up of plots and will be divided into three sizes: Plot, Estate and Region. Plots (1×1) are the smallest, followed by Estates (5×5) and Regions (20×20).
Each piece of Land comes with perks. As you go up in size, you get additional benefits, such as guaranteed specialized tiles, better chances of getting a rare tile, better revenue from your land and even a nifty title!
Specialized tiles include:
- Settlement(1×1) – piece of land on which players can build/place buildings and reap benefits from them. Not all buildings can be placed on a settlement. Some require a town
- Town(2×2) – larger than settlements, you can build or place any type of building on these
- Resource Rich – abundant in a particular type of resource, such as iron
- Specialized Mob – gathering place for a particular type of creature/enemy
Each piece of Land comes with perks. As you go up in size, you get additional benefits
The breakdown of the chances to get these tiles are as follows:

Revenue At A Bird’s Eye View
That’s not all. As we’ve mentioned, you can earn revenue from your Land! In our economy, Settlements and Towns, as well as some other plots within an estate, allow players to engage in gold or pixel token transactions (for example by buying something at a store) or gain gold or tokens in other ways. Owning a plot of Land in a particular Estate entitles you to a percentage of the revenue of all of these transactions. This means owning a plot of Land in the Ember Sword world, especially one located on a popular Estate, will bring in a steady stream of virtual income.
